ALX Rods are warrantied against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. During this one year period, rods that are non-conforming will be replaced at no cost to the original retail purchaser other than the cost of packing, insuring, and shipping the replacement rod.
All warranty claims require proof of purchase and a completed Warranty Claim Form. If you have registered your rod, your proof of purchase may already be on file with us.
This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, accidents, theft, unapproved alterations/modifications, intentional damage, loss, or acts of God.
This warranty is limited to replacement of the rod and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damages resulting from the use of this product.

How to Make a Warranty, Replacement, or Repair Claim
Please ship the damaged rod, prepaid, along with a fully completed Warranty Claim Form, including proof of purchase. Please follow all directions listed on the Warranty/Repair Form.
Broken rods may be cut down to minimize shipping cost. Clearly mark the damaged section. Do not cut the rod more than 2 times and leave the handle section intact from the butt up to 1/2″ in front of the label (closest to tip).
Complete the Warranty Claim Form and select “Lifetime Replacement”. Return only the label section of your current rod in a padded envelope or small box including the completed warranty claim form and payment.
Please send the rod intact. DO NOT cut down the rod or alter it. If you are unsure, please contact us 866-628-5052 prior to taking any action.
Each rod blank that becomes an ALX Rod is tested to ensure integrity prior to component assembly. Each blank is tested on a 360 degree flex. Rods are then inspected at each assembly point to ensure quality standards are met. We have great confidence that one year on the water gives ample opportunity for any type of defects to become evident.
How do you know a blank broke due to abuse, etc?
Rod blanks tend to break in specific ways. Blanks that are loaded improperly tend to break quite differently than blanks with defects. Blanks with defects also tend to break on the first few loads. Occasionally a defect will not show on an initial test, but those routinely show almost immediately in the field. We see defective breaks during the build process and also see breaks that occur during the design process. We also see breaks that occur from misuse. It’s typically easy to spot how or why a blank broke.
Why do you not cover rod guides and tips?
Rod guides and tips are tested prior to assembly. Our history shows that less than .01% of guide failures are due to manufacturers defect. We do work with our customers to provide easy solutions to guide and tip repairs, so please contact us directly to help with this.
Most often we see rod tips that have chipped or cracked ceramic inserts. Ceramic inserts do not chip or crack without some type of influence. When used and maintained correctly, guide ceramics maintain their integrity for a long time.
When I bought my ALX, the warranty was different. How can you change the warranty on me?
For rods with serial numbers beginning with B, E, I, N, X or Z and purchased prior to October 1, 2017, we still honor your original warranty. Proof of purchase is required unless your rod has been registered.
Our warranty has always been for defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner only.
What was the old warranty and how do I know if my rod qualifies?
